Project Six consists of nine students from the University of California, Irvine. The project is a collaboration between The Henry Samueli School of Engineering and the Claire Trevor School of the Arts combining technical and creative expertise into one. As a team we receive an idea, do research, design, and create. We will design a fully functional bed, convenient to those who need one. Together, we are Project Six.

Project Six was founded by Susan Menning, former assistant vice chancellor of strategic communications at UCI. Last year, she gave disposable cameras to homeless residents at Santa Ana Civic Center to document aspects of their lives not seen by outsiders. Project Six was a natural evolution of that interaction.
